What is an All Weather Removable Canopy?
There are two types of canopies – those for the Quingo Classic and those for the Quingo Plus. We also have a newer, stylish model to complement the designs of the Quingo Toura and Quingo Vitess. All weather canopies are available on selected models from just £295.
The All Weather Removable Canopy protects you and your scooter from the effects of adverse weather. The canopy consists of a sturdy metal frame that is attached to the chassis of your scooter. There’s also a large hard windscreen and the water resistant cover which is see-through in critical areas and protects you and your 5 wheel Quingo scooter from the elements on all sides.
The versatility of the canopy
The versatility of the canopy is its main strength. The roll up doors offer you full protection from the wind and the rain when you need it and excellent air flow when you don’t. The large door on the canopy easily zip up and down with extending arms for those who can’t bend so far.
Some points for Canopy owners to consider…
If you already own a canopy, you’ll already be fully aware of how useful it is. Nevertheless, here are some points to bear in mind to help you get the most out of your canopy when out and about:
- Take special care when manoeuvring in tight spaces. The ARC does increase the length of your vehicle slightly.
- If you intend to use your scooter in a shopping mall always roll up the side doors first.
- Check the windscreen is clean and that the zip handles are securely held on their Velcro tabs
- Check that the mirrors are adjusted correctly. If you do a lot of reversing, always ensure you have plenty of space and that you dial the speed down to the lowest setting.
The canopy should not be used in extremely high wind conditions. If you do happen to be caught outside and the weather changes, roll up the side doors until you get home. This will reduce the wind pressure on the side of the vehicle.
