The Red Wheelies Part 3: Having a Ball!

Last week on the Quingo Scooter User’s Blog we reflected back on some of the amazing achievements of the Red Wheelies.Today we wanted to take you back to August 2010, when the UK’s only Mobility Scooter Formation Display Team took to the stage of ITV’s ‘The Michael Ball Show’ to promote mobility scooter safety on their trusty Quingos.

It was early September when a full compliment of Red Wheelies turned up at Television Centre to appear with Michael Ball. They soon got into the swing of things with in depth interviews with the host and a representative from Norfolk police who discussed the challenges surrounding scooter safety in public areas.

The Red Wheelies Part 2 – Taking on Royalty!

Last week on the Quingo Scooter User’s Blog we reflected back on just a couple of the amazing achievements of the Red Wheelies, the UK’s only Mobility Scooter Formation Display Team, powered by Quingo.

In that blog we recalled how over the weekend of 14th-15th May 2011, the Quingo team joined forces with the Red Wheelies for thier 24 Hour Mobility Scooter Endurance Challenge in which they broke the Guinness World Record for the longest distance covered on a mobility scooter within a 24 hour period.

Reflecting on the Red Wheelies

This week on the Quingo Scooter User’s Area we wanted to look back at some of the amazing achievements of the Red Wheelies, the UK’s Mobility Scooter Formation Display Team, over a series of blog posts.

Formed 15 years ago, the group set out to raise positive awareness of MS and performed regularly at various events across the country. “The Quingo’s are our legs” Jackie used to say regularly in interviews.

Over the years the challenges of living with MS grew, but so did their ambition and lust for life and so here we would like the thank all of them for their hard work and reflect on just a couple of wonderful memories of working with them.

The Red Wheelies bow out after 15 fantastic years of positive MS awareness

Welcome back to the Quingo Scooter Users Area. The Red Wheelies – the world’s first mobility scooter formation display team – have broken world records, wowed the audience on Britain’s Got Talent and completed more than 500 miles of scootering for charity. Now, after 15 exciting years, the Red Wheelies have decided to call it a day having achieved their goal of raising awareness about Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and raising funds for their local MS Therapy Center.
