Safely and Securely Storing Your Quingo Mobility Scooter

Here, the Quingo team offer some advice on how to safely store your scooter and some useful accessory options that can keep your mobility scooter secure when not in use.

Quingo Battery Care

When you have finished using your Quingo it is important to store it somewhere safe and dry with a power source. We always recommend fully charging your batteries for at least 8-12 hours before you use it again.

If you are storing your Quingo for a long period and don’t intend to use it for 3 months or more, you can prolong your batteries life by charging them fully, then have them removed from the vehicle and store them in a dry area. Never remove them unless they are fully charged. When you return them to the vehicle, top them up before use.

Tip: Charge your scooter overnight (at least 8-12 hours- depending on model) the day before you wish to use it, so it’s ready to go in the morning!

Storing your Quingo

When it comes to storing your scooter in a garden or outside of your property, there are a couple of accessory options that will help you keep your mobility scooter safe and secure.

Scooter Storage Cover

The Scooter Storage Cover is a waterproof cover that neatly fits over the top of your scooter keeping out the rain and damp. The storage cover is elasticated at the bottom so that it tucks in around the base of your scooter. This is a useful accessory if you are storing your scooter somewhere already secure and is easy to fit and remove regularly. It retails at £60.

Scooter Garage

The Scooter Garage is a more robust and secure solution and consists of a solid metal frame which your scooter drives over. The cover then folds up and over the scooter, covering it with a water resistant material. The Garage can be locked closed if required and requires minimal effort. This option retails at £330.
