Yes, we were surprised too that he had time to stop by, given that the festive season isn’t so far away. However, we were absolutely honoured he thought of us when in need of some new transport!

The Quingo team would like to share a story about Mr Kenneth Robinson from Carlisle who had his prized mobility scooter stolen from outside his flat.
Mobility scooters are incredibly important to people like Mr Robinson who have limited mobility, as it grants them the freedom and independence to get around. When Mr Robinson’s mobility scooter was stolen, it left him a prisoner in his own home.
Accessibility and the freedom to get around are important to the Quingo team and our customers. That’s why Quingo were taken aback when we read the story of a mobility scooter user from Cumbria who was told by train station staff that Northern Rail didn’t accept mobility scooters on the Carlisle-West Cumbria line.
The Quingo team were interested to discover the recent story of a Carlisle man who believes that some pavements in his city are unsafe for mobility scooter users.
A lack of dropped kerbs in parts of Carlisle?
Jack Paton, 65, of Montgomery Way’s Botcherby often uses his scooter to visit family in nearby Harraby where he says that some of the streets have kerbs up to five inches high. He claims that the lack of dropped kerbs make certain areas difficult for him to get around.
